You have
an idea on what you wish to create for a movie but if looked at from
conventional point of view it will not be successful. In a web series you have
the freedom to cast anyone, enact the story as you like and have an unadulterated
vision of your project.
You can
work together in one or more movies, But working on a web series requires more
time, energy and respect for each other and the media. You need to face the
challenges together.
You
genuinely love your collaborators and could see yourself working together for a
long time.
You have
to create your own opportunity. This includes the writers, actors, and
directors. If the movie industry does not give you a chance then you can create
and opportunity on the internet by creating a web series.
You can think
countless adventures for your characters.
You can
be flexible – if an actor or location does not work out then you can think fast,
be flexible in solutions.

You want
to work with big actors but don’t have money. For web series you can start with
an ultra low budget. Paying the cast and crew something better than nothing.
But if you know someone - a well known
personality who is willing to work for nothing then your web series will be a
hit.
If the format
of the web series is unusual. You decide the scope of the narrative and its
length is decided by you. You can decide a continuous story for episodes or
stand alone episodes. Since you’re creating your own
deadline/release schedule, you can make the web series work around your
commitments.
You’re comfortable with the n audience have.
We decided to self-release the first
season of “The Impossibilities” for two reasons: we want it to be free online
and we want to maintain creative control. The tradeoff, of course, is that we
are the ones that are accountable for growing our own audience. We started on
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with friends and family and are slowly growing
from there with support from the magic, LGBT and general film -loving
communities.
