Web series Vs movies

You have an idea on what you wish to create for a movie but if looked at from conventional point of view it will not be successful. In a web series you have the freedom to cast anyone, enact the story as you like and have an unadulterated vision of your project.

You can work together in one or more movies, But working on a web series requires more time, energy and respect for each other and the media. You need to face the challenges together.

You genuinely love your collaborators and could see yourself working together for a long time.

You have to create your own opportunity. This includes the writers, actors, and directors. If the movie industry does not give you a chance then you can create and opportunity on the internet by creating a web series.

You can think countless adventures for your characters.

You can be flexible – if an actor or location does not work out then you can think fast, be flexible in solutions.

You may not have enough cash but you be willing to put in extra work  to control the costs. You be an actor and also pick up stuff, everyone is doing double duty, you cannot sit in the director’s chair while everyone else is doing something. It is better to have a small crew, you keep busy and are not bored. It is esy to move around and the group becomes a family.

You want to work with big actors but don’t have money. For web series you can start with an ultra low budget. Paying the cast and crew something better than nothing. But if you know someone -  a well known personality who is willing to work for nothing then your web series will be a hit.

If the format of the web series is unusual. You decide the scope of the narrative and its length is decided by you. You can decide a continuous story for episodes or stand alone episodes. Since you’re creating your own deadline/release schedule, you can make the web series work around your commitments.

 You’re comfortable with the n audience have.

We decided to self-release the first season of “The Impossibilities” for two reasons: we want it to be free online and we want to maintain creative control. The tradeoff, of course, is that we are the ones that are accountable for growing our own audience. We started on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with friends and family and are slowly growing from there with support from the magic, LGBT and general film -loving communities.

Avengers: The Infinity War

The latest in Avengers movie it brings together the Superheroes to save the universe from complete destruction.  Created by Marvel Studios

 It has taken ten years to plan this huge showdown among the fictional superheroes. All come together on screen and Marvel Studios has a lot depending on this movie.

All the superheroes shine in this movie some more than the others. The movie has to create a clear narrative and fantastic performance from the actors on a large scale. Keeping a balance, the audience attention and not have a dull moment is really hard but the movie has kept it intact.

Thanos smashes all expectations and the team of superheroes facing may take you by surprise. It is a huge effort and has every actor doing something, having sub plots, humor and at a point it gets overwhelming. But at no point are you left dissatisfied – Marvel will have you begging for more.

Avengers: Infinity War is making money with this extravagant of superheroes in one huge epic. It is a monumental ensemble cast for all times. There is so much going on at the same time, at times you feel many strands are left hanging or are not fleshes out. You may end up feeling that many characters are not needed at all. Some things can be shown and no long scenes are required between two characters.

The movie though had so many characters /super heroes and a huge cast but everyone was required and mattered.

The ending leaves you flustered as the universe disintegrates in a snap of a finger, those superheroes die that cannot die – so these heroes will be back with another franchise. So which heroes will be out in the next movie?

Thanos was the star a much better villain but there is not enough of him. Killing half the population doesn't make sense. Many places the plot seems to obvious – clever heroes walking into a trap, rescue of Thor, and my personal favorite Groot had short but effective screen time;  character of Black Panther is not really fleshed out, and many characters seem changed. The movie is entertaining but there is not enough of storytelling.

Is Netflix the new small screen?

Netflix, you have heard about the online app that streams movies, videos, etc online on demand. Missed a movie/song catch it on Netflix.

Begun by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in California. It is a company into movie and television production and has expanded into distribution. This American entertainment company offers streaming media, video on demand, and DVD by mail. It started streaming media in Canada in 2010 and which has expanded to over 190 countries except China, North Korea, Syria and Crimea.

Netflix offers shows etc that touch on every genre available from comedy to horror. It seems that Netflix has not left any genre untouched—from drama to horror to romantic comedies and animation and now finally, comedy. Netflix appeal to all types of customers – those who want to watch online shows, binge watch series, watch movies etc.

Do Netflix competitors have any chance against Netflix? Netflix has not really been able to knock down its competitors. Being a member has an advantage but not much new content is available except their original series. The charge of Netflix is the same as an average movie ticket. And the advantage you can watch the same title again and again for free.

There are many who do not like to watch movies on laptop or mobiles they want to watch it in theatres. It cannot compete with really being at the movies. There are many things Netflix does not offer a wide selection of TV series and update of content making it as current as possible like Amazon Prime. Amazon Prime has original content, extensive selection of HBO shows, award-winning content, quality movies, and original news and programming.

Although different from traditional television Netflix does not offer public news broadcasting, movies it does not stream, primetime shows also programs that is offered on traditional television.

Sanju Trailor review

Sanju, the biopic on Sanjay Dutt has blown everyone away. Many celebs have commented on his acting, everyone is dumb struck about the look that he has perfected to the letter ‘T’. No one better could have done this role. ‘Ranbir has perfectly replicated the role.” Said Kareena Kapoor.

This movie is directed by Rajkumar Hirani, produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and stars Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Dia Mirza, Manisha Koirala, Paresh Rawal, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh and Vicky Kaushal. It will release on June 29^th.

Ranbir kapoor depicts the six phases of Sanjay Dutt’ s life. Ranbir introduces Dutt’s life in the typical Munna Bhai fashion. The teaser describes Sanjay Dutt's life, from screen journey to multiple affairs to the AK-56 rifle case. It describes the many lives Dutt has lived in one life from luxury, to playboy image to prisoner, a father, and a husband.

You may blink your eye s a couple times making sure that you are watching Ranbir and not Sanjay Dutt himself. The similarity is uncanny and has helped Ranbir to carry off the character.

The reason why the movie is awaited with much anticipation is that the movie is trying baring it all. Ranbir has had to undergo major transformation physically. Manish Koirala assay’s the character of Nargis Dutt and Paresh Rawal as Sunil Dutt.

His story is very interesting but many reviewers regard the movie as a spoof, a childish attempt to tell a story and failing on all accounts. Ever since the movie was announced it has been in news due to leaked images. Sanjay Dutt has seen the images and is awaiting the release of the movie.

Big Buck Earners of Hollywood 2018

The success of a film or the film industry is measured in terms of box office revenue. While Box office revenue is calculated with the number of people who buy a ticket and the money that is collected from ticket sales.

Some of the highest gross earners of year 2018 belong to Hollywood.

A few top earners include Black Panther that earned $1.3 billion followed by Avengers: Infinity War; Deadpool 2; Solo: A Star wars Story; Jurassic world: Fallen Kingdom; Ant-Man and the Wasp; Game Night; A Quiet Place; Anon to name just a few.

Among the top 15 earners have earned over a 100 million in 2018 include Insidious: The Last Key earned 167.3 million, Paddington earned 225.7 million, A Quiet Place earned 270.6million,  Tomb Raider earned 272.5million, The Maze Runner: The Death Cure earned 284.9 million and so forth. Steven Spielberg's Ready Player One grossed over 521million. And Fifty Shades Freed earned a $100 million mark.

The fourth highest grosser is Peter Rabbit. The other animated movie to collect money is the Despicable Me. Maze Runner: The Death Cure has grossed $284 million. Rounding the top ten is the Rampage, Pacific Rim Uprising, Tomb Raider, Paddington 2 and A Quiet Place.

'Avengers: Infinity War' was top in the worldwide rankings, generated 343.12 million U.S. dollars in revenue in the presented weekend.

A movie earning a lot of money at the box office does not mean that they are actually good. It is important to know that majority of the movies that earn a lot are loved by audiences and critics too.

2018 is going to be a glut of sequels and will be a literally a super movie year. The year will generate a lot of returns and might also break records.

Movies and Music

Movies music

Movies and music are an integral part of the entertainment world. Movies music can include background score, it can be the actors are singing along with the music or it has been recorded as a part of the sound track in the movie.

A film score is originally written and produced exclusively for the movie. And becomes a part of its soundtrack and also at the important junctures the music is played aloud to show intensity.

While a musical movie is such that the songs are interwoven with the script and the songs are rendered by the actors or dubbed and mark an important event in the movie. This was a development from the musical stage performances.

A soundtrack on the other hand is recorded music that is played at important junctures in the movie, television programs or a video games. This music is added during the post production of the movie. Sound is recorded in three separate ways one for the dialogue, for music and one for the background sound.

The silent movies had live orchestras playing; in the 1930s sound came to the films. 1940s saw the composers refining their expertise, 1960s saw Jazz making its way into the films. 1980s was the era of synthesized sounds. Today new technology is being adapted everyday to create music.
